Developing Weebly websites 05/21/2010
Weebly is a website development tool I discovered a few days ago. I have been using World of Antiques as a test site while I learn to use it. So far this is going very well. This morning I figured out how to change the default text color so it has more contrast and is easier to read. I only had to make one change which is nice. If you start messing around with to many settings it is easy to make upgrades break your site . Now that I don't have to manually set the text color for each new entry I will go to work on the PayPal integration. It looks like my regular PayPal business account will be enough. Some of the shopping cart software I have looked at requires the upgraded (expensive) Pro account. I will have to set up the Thank You and Return pages. I need to see how the system handles the addition of shipping charges. I want to be sure I understand all the nuances of how this system works before I start building more of them. It's always painful when you think you know how things work, set up a lot of sites that way, and then have to go back and fix things by hand.
