Hummels by MI Hummel are some of the most popular seramic items ever produced. They are collected around the world and remain popular and pricy. They are expensive enough we have collected a few, but Gerold Porcelain is much more affordable.
The picture shows the "Full Bee" mark which was used on the older Hummels in the 1950's.
Hummels are also gragile and prone to crazing. You have to be really careful when you buy them on Ebay because the crazing can be very hard to see. In fact, many sellers seem to be unable to see it!
Our Antique Hummels website has pictures of our small collection and we will be marking some of them for sale.
Gerold Porzellan
Gerold Porcelain was made in Germany for more than 60 years. It stayed popular, but was never as well known as Lladro and various other brands. As a result there are hundreds of affordable pieces available. We plan to get serious about thinning out our collection soon. Because of the number of items we will sell them from our Gerold Porzellan website.
